Dyson Airwrap for Beginners — Which Model First, Easiest Settings
If this is your first Dyson hair tool, the Airwrap Origin is the right place to start. It includes the core Coanda barrels and a soft smoothing brush at a more accessible price than the Complete Long, and the smaller kit is less overwhelming for the learning curve. Here's how to get to confident styling in 3-5 sessions.

First session: just dry your hair with the pre-styling attachment. Don't try to style yet. Get used to the airflow direction, the on/off switch, and how the heat actually feels. 5 minutes total. Set the Airwrap aside.
Second session: try one Coanda barrel curl on a single small section. Hold the barrel vertically next to a 2 cm strand, point the airflow toward the strand, count 10 seconds, then 5 seconds of cold air. Release and look — that's a curl. Now repeat 5 more times before doing anything else.
Third session: full styling. Section into 6 pieces; do all 6 with the same Coanda barrel and same direction. Don't get fancy. Same time per section, same temperature, same fan. The result will be a uniform set of curls — which is exactly what you want as a foundation.
Fourth session and beyond: now experiment. Alternate direction for beach waves. Try the smoothing brush. Try cool-shot first vs last. By session 5, you'll know what your hair responds to and your styling time will drop from 30+ minutes to 12-15.
